THE EXPERIENCE
What Will My Trip Include?
CLASS TIME
Hands on Experience
Want to create a fun educational trip for school? Leave the classroom behind and get a change of pace by bringing your class to Haiti! Lesson time in the morning, and unforgettable experiences in the evening! You won't regret it!
VISITING CHILDREN'S VILLAGES
See Where Hands & Feet Began
As part of the Ikondo experience, you're invited to come visit the kids at our two Children's Villages: Jacmel & Thozin. Play a game of soccer and deepen your understanding of the orphan crisis in Haiti.
VISIT LOCAL MERCHANTS
Put Money Back Into the Economy
Due to the excessive umber of handouts Haiti receives, its economic infrastructure is struggling. One of the best ways you can help is by giving money back by supporting local businesses. You may find that Haitians are quite entrepreneurial!
HAITI MADE
Job Creation Initiative
Before Ikondo was conceived it was home base to Haiti Made, a company employing Haitians to make hats, leather products, and more. They have now grown beyond Ikondo's site, but you can visit them and make bracelets as you get to know these wonderful Haitian people!
Visit their website here: www.haitimade.com
VISIT BEACHES
Relax & Enjoy God's Creation
Who says mission trips are all work and no play? Take some time for yourself to retreat and enjoy the breathtaking Caribbean Sea!
WORSHIP
Joy Unspeakable
Praise the God who is bigger than the mountains, whose love is wider than the sea, while taking in the scenery of Haiti & enjoying praise music with a Caribbean flare.
TESTIMONIALS
See how weak you are, and how strong and powerful Haitians are. And realize they don't judge us for being weak, so why should we judge them?
Rachel Bailey
Accept how weak I am with a smile. Just being able to observe and listen was the most humbling thing.
Rebecca Hurshman
I came here kicking and screaming, but now I don't want to leave. I have fallen in love with Haiti and the incredible joy that I've found here.
Christiana Somers
"We want students here so the future of loving people well is in good hands."
